False Records on Food Entry and Exit Logged in 5 Kindergartens of Shengavit

On February 7, 2020, the head of the Shengavit administrative district submitted a letter to the Shengavit police department regarding serious suspicions that arose during the supervision of services provided at 21 kindergartens operating under the administration of the Shengavit district. It was revealed that in some of these institutions, false records had been made in the food entry and exit registration logs through the use of disappearing ink.

A criminal case has been initiated based on Article 314, part 1 (official forgery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. An investigation is being conducted in the Shengavit Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

During the investigation, it was determined that in 5 of the mentioned kindergartens, disappearing ink pens were used in the food entry and exit logs due to thermal effects. The examination of the logs also revealed that in many instances, the initial numbers written in the entry-exit columns for various food items had been repeatedly altered.

Extensive investigative and procedural actions are being conducted to clarify all circumstances of the apparent criminal acts. The investigation is ongoing.
