We Should Have Said: We Are Opposed to the Phased Settlement Option. Sharmazanov on the Pashinyan-Aliev Meeting
Eduard Sharmazanov, the spokesperson for the Republican Party of Armenia, addressed the Pashinyan-Aliev open discussion that took place today in Munich on his Facebook page. Sharmazanov wrote:
“Did you watch the Pashinyan-Aliev debate? In just a few minutes, so many own goals against Armenia and Artsakh! It should have been said, but it wasn't—we are opposed to the phased settlement option; Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan. If there can be two Turkish states, then there should be two Armenian states. There is no alternative to this. Coca-Cola has been in Azerbaijan for 32 years, and finally, speaking Armenian is not shameful; it is better to speak good Armenian than poor English. One more thing—before talking about Tigran the Great, remember that there was a Bosporan Kingdom and a Roman Empire. Will you not speak about history, brother?
P.S. Populism did not work at the Munich conference.”
