Rockfall Occurs at the Beginning of the Road to Sari Tagh
On February 15, at 16:41, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a rockfall at the beginning of the road leading to Sari Tagh from Khorenatsi Street in Yerevan. Some stones from the road's guardrail had fallen onto the traffic lane.
A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Yerevan Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. It was found that at the intersection of Glinka and Moses Khorenatsi streets, near the bridge, a part of the facing slabs of the road's guardrail (approximately 4 square meters) had detached and fallen onto the traffic lane, while another part (about 1 square meter) had become loose.
The rescuers removed the fallen stones from the traffic lane and secured the area.
