Narek Samsonyan Involved as a Defendant in 'False Accusation' Case

Upon returning home, I found out that I have been notified by the Special Investigative Service and have been involved as a defendant in a 'false accusation' case. Narek Samsonyan, leader of the non-governmental organization 'Civil Consciousness,' wrote this on Facebook.

“To be honest, this development was the most anticipated and the most unlikely for the authorities, but Nikol has chosen this path. By the way, this case is under the same investigator who threatened me with prosecution. This is a blatant and audacious attack on the MEDIA and freedom of speech; with this move, Nikol brings us closer to the neighboring state and himself to his favorite educated figure, but he is the one who has chosen this path. Tomorrow at 13:00, I will be at the Special Investigative Service, and I will gladly answer questions from the media. I will provide a more comprehensive opinion on the ongoing events tomorrow, but for now, I can only say that there cannot be a single person in Armenia who can doubt that this absurdity is political persecution.

P.S. To the mentally unstable individuals who ordered this case to be fabricated and those who executed the order, I want to say that you are giving me tenfold more encouragement with this. Be ready for a fierce struggle, and after that, be prepared for justice regarding all of this,” wrote Samsonyan.
