Lars is Open: There are Impassable and Closed Roads in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of February 15 at 18:00, there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.
The roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province will remain closed for an indefinite time.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed to trucks with trailers and other difficult-to-navigate vehicles. The Sotk-Karvachar road is closed only for heavy trucks, while for others, it is impassable.
The Sisian-Zanger section is also impassable.
There are patches of black ice on the roads in Syunik, Kotayk, and the Aragats and Aparan regions of Aragatsotn.
Regarding Lars, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Situations Department of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
According to the information received from the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies in North Ossetia, there are approximately 1,000 heavy trucks accumulated on the Russian side.
