Search and Rescue Operations Conducted Near Gar Nahovit Village, Missing Persons Found

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure has requested assistance from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, stating that the "BV206" all-terrain rescue vehicle is needed for urgent recovery work on the frozen water sources of the "40 Springs" waterline, operated by Veolia Water in the Talin region.

From 09:55 to 12:25, the "BV206" all-terrain rescue vehicle of the Aragats Fire and Rescue Squad No. 21 was transported to Gar Nahovit village. At 12:30, a rescue team, including seven employees of Veolia Water and two rescuers, left for the northeast section of Gar Nahovit village, known as "Chlkanner" (approximately 12 km away) to carry out recovery operations.

On their return at 19:50, the driver-rescuer from Aragats Fire and Rescue Squad No. 21, Senior Sergeant R. Besalyan, reported that they had become trapped in deep snow about 6 km from the village. Due to darkness, fog, and rugged terrain, they were unable to find their way back. The firefighters provided their coordinates to the National Crisis Management Center, which were then mapped and forwarded to the rescuers dispatched to assist them.

By the order of the Minister of Emergency Situations, a working headquarters was established in Gar Nahovit village, led by Lt. Col. D. Petrosyan, head of the Aragatsotn regional rescue department.

At 20:27, the Talin Fire and Rescue Squad No. 22, along with combat equipment and Lt. Col. D. Petrosyan, headed towards Gar Nahovit village.

Starting at 21:33, seven rescuers and two residents of Gar Nahovit village began a foot ascent under increasingly difficult night weather conditions, carrying food and necessary supplies with them.

At 02:50, a search group found the personnel of Aragats Fire and Rescue Squad No. 21 (two driver-rescuers) and seven employees of Veolia Water about 6 km northeast of the village.

At 03:40, Lt. Col. D. Petrosyan informed the National Crisis Management Center that a decision had been made to begin the group's return journey at dawn due to safety concerns.

Starting at 08:00, the group began descending towards the village of Sarnaghbyur, reaching it under the leadership of D. Petrosyan at 10:14. The condition of all group members was reported as satisfactory.

At 11:07, the tow truck arrived at Sarnaghbyur village, and at 11:34, the "BV206" all-terrain rescue vehicle was relocated to its permanent position at Aragats Fire and Rescue Squad No. 21.
