Roads Closed and Impassable in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 14 at 08:30, there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.

The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province remain closed for an indefinite time. The Vardenyats Pass is also closed, while the Sotk-Karvachar road is only accessible for light vehicles.

Impassable roads include the Sotk-Karvachar road, and the Goris-Sisian road in Syunik Province, as well as the segments from Sisian to Zanger and Saravan to Zanger (heavy snowfall). In the regions of Syunik, Kotayk, as well as in the areas of Aparan and Aragats of Aragatsotn Province, there are areas of black ice affecting road conditions. Snowfall is reported in the Saravan-Zanger section.
