Interview Room Equipped with Special Audio-Visual Recording Technology Opened in Police Department
On February 14, a dedicated mirrored room for minors who have been victims of sexual violence was inaugurated at the Central Police Department. The purpose of this modern interview room, equipped with the latest special audio-visual recording technology, is to shield children who have suffered from violence from secondary victimization.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chief of Police, Colonel Haik Mhrjan, the Acting Head of the Public Safety Department, Colonel Georgi Ayvazyan, Deputy Head of the Department, Colonel Nelli Duryan, police officers, and representatives of partner organizations.
This initiative was made possible through the collaboration and support of the police special units, the “Aravamanuk” charitable public organization, and the French charitable organization “The Voice of the Child.” Representatives from the police and partner organizations reached an agreement to deepen collaboration and continue the implementation of programs aimed at establishing the necessary legislative and legal frameworks.
