Snowstorm in Syunik, Difficult Conditions in Sevan Region: New Road Updates

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 13 at 09:00, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads across the territory of Armenia.

Closed roads include the Sisian-Goris road in Syunik Province, the road to Amberd Fortress in Aragatsotn Province, the road to Kary Lake, the Sotk-Karvachar road, and the Vardenyats Pass.

The roads from the Sevan Peninsula to Dzovagyugh village and the roads in the Shirak Province's Amasia and Ashotsk regions are difficult to navigate.

A snowstorm is currently occurring in Syunik Province, while snowfall is reported in the Ashotsk region of Shirak Province.

There is also black ice observed on various roads in Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Lori, Syunik, and Shirak provinces, as well as on the Kuchak-Aparan and Tsakhkadzor village roads in Aragatsotn Province.

Regarding the Lars situation, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

However, information from the Crisis Management Center indicates that there are over 1,000 trucks waiting on the Russian side.
