EU Council Calls for Cooperation in Fight Against Chinese Coronavirus

The EU Council has called on member states to take necessary measures to strengthen cooperation in response to the spread of the new coronavirus. This statement was made in the announcement of the results of the extraordinary meeting of health ministers from EU countries, released in Brussels on February 13.

"The EU Council welcomes the effective response of the EU to the challenges arising from the outbreak of the new coronavirus and calls upon member states to take necessary measures to strengthen cooperation," the announcement states.
