Construction of EU TUMO Complex Discussed at City Hall
The Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, met with representatives of the TUMO team. The meeting focused on various issues related to the implementation of the "EU TUMO Engineering and Applied Sciences Complex" project, carried out in collaboration with the European Union and TUMO.
The architectural design of the 25,000 square meter building, which will serve as the headquarters of TUMO, is being executed by the renowned Dutch architect Winy Maas's MVRDV studio. During the meeting, Winy Maas presented the project, which will consist of several components, including TUMO laboratories, 42Yerevan, the Faculty of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of the French University in Armenia, common areas, co-financed spaces, and conference rooms. The complex is directly adjacent to the site of a new metro station currently in the design phase. It is expected that the building's design will be ready this spring.
Mayor Hayk Marutyan and the chief architect of the capital, Arthur Meschyan, shared their observations regarding the project and expressed their readiness to support its prompt realization.
