Azerbaijan Has Closed Airspace, We Have No Right to Allow Flights to Artsakh: Revazyan

The Armenian aviation authority is working on the operation of the Stepanakert airport. This was assured to parliament members today by the head of the Civil Aviation Committee, Tatevik Revazyan.

The fact is that as of today, Azerbaijan has decided to close the airspace over Artsakh on an international level, and we, as the Civil Aviation Committee, do not have the right to grant permission for flights to Artsakh. This is a purely political issue that cannot be resolved at our level,” said Revazyan.

The committee head mentioned that they cannot raise this issue in international organizations, and she does not know what is occurring at higher levels.

Revazyan promised to clarify the matter with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
