Armenia Can Become an Attractive Country for Foreign Investors: Klara Gevitz
Following her meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's next stop was at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. According to reports from Armenpress's correspondent in Berlin, the Prime Minister participated in a meeting titled "New Signs of Sustainable Cooperation in Armenia-Germany Relations" with German academic and expert circles.
Co-chair of the Foundation, Klara Gevitz, expressed her pleasure in welcoming Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. "Armenia has always been at the crossroads of different cultures, yet it has preserved its identity. Today, Armenia also plays an important political role. We see that it has good neighborly relations with Russia, is a member of the EAEU, and at the same time has signed a relevant agreement with the EU," said Klara Gevitz.
She noted that Germany has good relations with Armenia and considers the opportunities for deepening cooperation to be significant. Klara Gevitz observed that Armenia could become an attractive country for foreign investors. She emphasized the importance of programs aimed at making the state more economically stable and creating jobs.
"The new government is taking on obligations while facing an old burden. We are confident that it is not easy to achieve changes, and we can contribute to these developments," Klara Gevitz said.
She mentioned that the Foundation has representation in Armenia and has provided support to the country through various events. Klara Gevitz emphasized that this meeting held at the Foundation is a great opportunity to deepen cooperation.
