Accident in Charentsavan: Mayor's Wife Taken to Hospital

On February 12, in the Kotayk region, a car accident occurred due to icy road conditions. Around 23:40, vehicles driven by local residents of Charentsavan collided on Shahumyan Street. The vehicles involved were a Grand Cherokee with license plate 35 OC 535, driven by 36-year-old Norair Simonian, and a Hyundai with license plate 55 OO 035, driven by 47-year-old Ara Mkhitaryan.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, a passenger in the Hyundai, 47-year-old Armine Shahgaldyan from Charentsavan, was diagnosed with a fractured right lower limb and was taken to the Charentsavan Medical Center.

Reportedly, the Hyundai belongs to the Mayor of Charentsavan, Hakob Shahgaldyan, and the hospitalized Armine Shahgaldyan is his wife. The road was completely impassable at the time of the incident.
