Car Burns at Auto Service Center, Employee Injured
On February 12 at 11:22 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting a car fire near an auto parts store at 3 Shiraz Street in Yerevan. Firefighting and rescue teams from one of the special fire units and the firefighting and rescue department of Yerevan were dispatched to the scene.
It was discovered that a “Nissan Elgrand” vehicle was burning at the auto service center located at 3/13 Shiraz Street, and there was an injured individual. Before the rescuers arrived, Karen A., an employee of the service center, attempted to extinguish the fire and suffered burns. He was hospitalized at the National Center for Burns, where he declined medical assistance.
The fire was contained by 11:35 AM and completely extinguished by 11:52 AM. The underside of the vehicle was completely burned, with partial damage to the interior and surrounding auto parts.
