Bodies of 27-Year-Old Couple Found in Dilijan House

The Investigative Committee of Armenia reports that an inquiry is ongoing at the Dilijan investigative division of the Tavush regional investigative department to determine all circumstances surrounding the deaths of a couple from Shirak province in Dilijan.

On February 12, 2020, at 01:00, a report was received by the Dilijan Police from a citizen indicating that the bodies of the couple, born in 1993 and residents of Shirak province, were discovered in the bathroom of a house located on Orjonikidze Street in Dilijan.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 3 of Article 279 of the RA Criminal Code (Releasing or selling products that do not meet safety requirements, performing work or providing services, which negligently resulted in the death of two or more persons).

The investigation revealed that a gas instantaneous water heater was installed in the bathroom of the house. To clarify the circumstances surrounding the young couple's deaths, relevant examinations have been scheduled, and necessary investigative and procedural actions are being carried out simultaneously. The preliminary investigation continues.
