VIDEO. We are Against the Points System – Tsarukyan
We are against the points system because if the points system is in place, the conditions must be fully created, the roads widened, stops made available, and parking spots provided. This was stated today, February 11, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly by the leader of the Prosperous Armenia faction, Gagik Tsarukyan, referencing the new traffic violation fine system.
“One day, the one who passed that law should try it to see if it’s possible to live off 5,000 drams a day earned from driving a taxi. It's not possible. A taxi driver works all day and can't even earn 5,000 to 8,000 drams,” he remarked. “There should be a different points system for minibus drivers and another for personal drivers. And it should not be 9 points, but rather 100 points,” he added.
