VIDEO: Boeing Makes Hard Landing in Russia, No Casualties Reported
A Boeing passenger plane made an emergency hard landing at an airport in Russia's Ussuriysk region on February 9. According to TASS, citing the emergencies service, the aircraft struck the runway with its tail during landing.
“Preliminary reports indicate that there are no casualties,” the source stated.
The emergencies services reported that the flight was normal until landing, when there was a decrease in the stability of the chassis, which led to the hard landing. A total of 88 passengers and six crew members were on board. One of the reasons for the hard landing was identified as a malfunction of the chassis.
The front part of the aircraft exited the runway.
