“I am glad that the performance reached its victorious conclusion”: Ruzan Mantashyan shines at the Dresden Opera Theater

Opera singer Ruzan Mantashyan delivered a magnificent performance at the Dresden Opera Theater during the "SemperOpernball," performing the aria of Tatiana from Pyotr Tchaikovsky's opera "Eugene Onegin." In a conversation with an "Armenpress" correspondent, Ruzan Mantashyan stated, "I am glad that the performance took place and reached its logical and victorious conclusion."

It is noteworthy that the annual concert program of Dresden Opera's "SemperOpernball" is one of the most famous events of classical music in German-speaking Europe.

Earlier, on January 13, it was reported that opera singer Anna Netrebko's husband, tenor Yusif Eyvazov, had refused to perform at the opening of the Dresden Opera Festival (on February 7) on stage with soprano Ruzan Mantashyan, citing the singer's Armenian ethnicity. The festival organizers announced that Eyvazov had not made such a statement, and Mantashyan had not been invited to the festival at all. The French concert agency Agence Massis Opèra, with which Mantashyan works, also stated that Mantashyan was indeed supposed to perform at the festival's opening, but the performance was canceled. Later, the leadership of SemperOpernball resolved the issue, and the singers performed on the same stage on February 7.
