Firefighters Extinguish Fires Covering Approximately 21 Hectares of Grassland

On February 6, the National Emergency Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 18 reports concerning fires that broke out in various grassland areas across the republic, affecting nearly 200 square meters and more.

Specifically, in the Ararat Province's Shahumyan village, 400 square meters were affected; in the Lori Province's Alaverdi city, 5,000 square meters; in the village of Chochkan, about 3 hectares; in Shnogh village, approximately 5 hectares; in Syunik Province's Kapan city, 2,000 square meters; in Syunik village, 1 hectare; in the village of Arajamjor, 2,000 square meters; along the Meghri-Akarak highway, 300 square meters; in Tavush Province's Ijevan city, fires affected 3,000 square meters, with additional incidents of 200 square meters and 250 square meters; in the village of Haghvtanak, 1,500 square meters; in the village of Voskevaz, 3,500 square meters; in the village of Achajur, 5 hectares of vineyards; in the village of Lusadzor, 700 square meters; in the village of Aigedzor, about 5 hectares; along the Ijevan-Novemberyan highway, 800 square meters and 400 square meters.

Firefighters successfully contained and extinguished the fires.
