Video: What Type of Fuel is Sold in Armenia
The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) has published the results of its study on "Gasoline" and "Diesel Fuel." The results from the PSRC's 2019 study on the commodity markets for "Gasoline" and "Diesel Fuel" were released. The study aimed to provide a comprehensive picture of the competitive situation in these commodity markets, assess the competitive environment during the observed period, identify potential obstacles limiting competition, and present solutions for improving the competitive environment.
In particular, the study examined the legal regulatory framework, established requirements, potential barriers, market structure, and pricing policy. The findings indicated that each year, the composition of participants in the "Gasoline" and "Diesel Fuel" commodity markets has changed. Specifically, in 2017, four businesses were involved in importing gasoline, and this number increased by two in 2018. From January 1 to October 1, 2019, the number of businesses importing gasoline reached five, including "CPS Oil Corporation," "Flash LLC," "Max Petrol LLC," "Platinum Oil LLC," and "CPS Oil LLC." Regarding the "Diesel Fuel" commodity market, six entities were involved in imports during 2017 and 2018. However, between January 1 and October 1, 2019, the number of businesses in this market significantly increased to 18.
