Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly Won't Take Place
By the decision of the Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan, his decision NО-16-L of January 30, 2020, on calling an extraordinary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia has been declared invalid. This was reported by the National Assembly.
“Based on point 1 of part 8 of Article 41 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, as well as part 1 of Article 38 of the Law on Normative Legal Acts, I DECIDE: 1. To declare the decision NО-16-L of the Speaker of the National Assembly of January 30, 2020, on calling an extraordinary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia invalid; 2. To propose that the MPs who officially submitted the initiative to convene an extraordinary session on February 6, 2020, adjust their letter regarding convening the extraordinary session, as well as the attached documents, within three working days to comply with the requirements of parts 3, 4, 5, and point 2 of part 7 of Article 41 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly,” the announcement states.
