Aronian Remains in Same Position, Karen Grigoryan Enters Top 100 Chess Players for First Time - FIDE
The leading Armenian chess player Levon Aronian has maintained his position in the FIDE rankings. In the February rankings, Aronian is once again placed 6th. The top of the rankings is held by the current world champion Magnus Carlsen.
Among the Armenian players in the top 100 are Gabriel Sargsyan (44th place), Hrant Melikyan (77th place), and for the first time, Karen Grigoryan has entered the ranks of the best grandmasters at 91st place.
