Turkey Sends Troops and Tanks to Libya

According to Libyan media reports, on January 30, ships belonging to the Turkish navy arrived at the port of Tripoli. Witnesses told the Libyan 128TV that early Wednesday, two Turkish ships brought soldiers to Tripoli, while a cargo ship transported tanks, reports ermenihaber.

Another Libyan source, the website 'Ahmar Libya', stated that the delivered weapons and ammunition were transferred to a military base located in central Tripoli. This source also reported that a plane belonging to 'African Airlines' landed at Misrata Airport, carrying 40 Turkish officers.
