Shooting in Malatya: Bullet Casings and Ammunition Found in Battlefield-like Area
On January 28, gunshots were reported in Yerevan. Around 22:00, the Malatya police department received a call confirming that shots had been fired in front of 7/7 Vancian Street.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, police discovered bullet casings fired from a pistol and a submachine gun, as well as bullets and unfired cartridges in an area reminiscent of a battlefield.
A handgun was also found at the site. Additionally, a vehicle of the Opel brand with license plate 88 UF 808 was located at the scene, while gunfire damaged a Gazel-brand vehicle parked in the allowable area of the road.
Currently, the police are investigating whether there are any injuries resulting from the shots fired. Several operational groups have been dispatched to hospitals to ascertain if any injured individuals have been transported there.
Investigative materials are being prepared in the Malatya police department concerning the incident.
