Lebanon Firmly Opposes American 'Deal of the Century', Considering it a Plan for Global Destruction

Lebanon is firmly opposed to the American 'Deal of the Century', which involves the legalization of Palestinian refugees in host countries and will not change its stance even under the threat of economic and financial pressures. Amal Abouzeid, an advisor to the Lebanese President, stated this in a report by RIA Novosti, according to Auroranews.am.

Lebanon has a population of 4 million, including 600,000 Palestinian refugees and more than 1.5 million refugees from Syria. Palestinians have a special status and live in refugee camps, which over time have turned into densely populated urban blocks spread throughout Lebanon.

“We are already on the brink of existence after Lebanon was buried in debt for 30 years, leading to the most complex financial, economic, and social crisis. This is an international game that puts the country faced with the following choice: either agree to the naturalization of refugees or there will be no assistance and debt relief,” Abouzeid wrote on his Twitter page.

He emphasized that Lebanon, as before, remains opposed to the Deal of the Century and reiterates that it will not support any international game or negotiations at the expense of Lebanon and its interests, regardless of the cost of maintaining such a position.

“We are committed to defending our homeland's sovereignty and upholding the foundations of our constitution, which clearly states: there is no naturalization, no partition, no separation. We will not allow Lebanon to become a weak link in promoting dubious initiatives,
