VIDEO. There is no content there. Avinyan on the remote debates between Vanetsyan and the authorities

“I do not evaluate them in any way, these debates have no political significance because there is simply no content there.” This was stated today, January 28, by the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan, during a conversation with journalists at the Yerablur Pantheon, referring to the remote debate between former NSS Director Arthur Vanetsyan and representatives of the authorities.

In response to the remark that the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, has stated that Arthur Vanetsyan mediated the cooperation between Hrayr Tovmasyan and the authorities, Avinyan replied, “I would find it difficult to comment on what interests Mr. Vanetsyan had and what they consisted of, but I think Mr. Simonian has sufficiently elaborated on that question in his interview.”

Regarding discussions about an attempted coup, the Deputy Prime Minister said, “I would find it difficult to assess, but the fact that Mr. Vanetsyan is no longer the NSS director is quite telling.”
