Narek Malyan Arrested, Ruben Melikyan Reports
The leader of the "VETO" civic-political movement, Narek Malyan, has been arrested. This was announced on Facebook by Ruben Melikyan, co-founder of the "Legal Path" NGO.
"Narek Malyan has been arrested. Where is he? Why was he arrested?" he wrote.
Earlier, former Armenian MP Mihran Hakobyan posted a video on his Facebook page showing the moment Narek Malyan was apprehended. "A new phase of repression: masked individuals forcibly abduct the well-known public figure Narek Malyan," Hakobyan wrote alongside the released video.
