Dispute Among Inmates in Nubarashen Ends in Stabbing

Early today, just before dawn, an incident occurred at the Nubarashen penitentiary. A dispute broke out between inmates in one of the cells for various reasons, which escalated into insults, then a brawl, and ultimately ended in a stabbing.

The prison staff, hearing the commotion, rushed to the cell; however, two of the fighting inmates had already been stabbed. They promptly called for emergency medical assistance.

The injured, both approximately 45 years old, were transferred to Erebuni Medical Center. According to some reports, one of them sustained injuries to the chest area. The inmates are now under medical supervision.

Investigators and police officers who visited the penitentiary are working to clarify the details of the incident.
