The Genie is Out of the Bottle: Naira Zohrabyan

Member of the National Assembly and Chair of the Human Rights and Public Affairs Committee, Naira Zohrabyan, wrote on her Facebook page: “Yesterday, in this unprecedented atmosphere of love and tolerance, a certain council member, whose voice, it turned out, no one had heard before, issued a ‘fahs’ order against Hrayr’s child. It doesn’t matter to me who the target is - whether it’s Nikol’s daughter, my daughter’s, or Hrayr’s or someone else’s child.

This ‘fahs’ issuer was so confident that in this daily festering hatred, there are certainly going to be his ‘fahs’-inspired feral creatures who will go on the offensive. He was so sure that he is not alone in this dance of hatred that he proudly gave the ‘kiss.’ It’s good that this time the team responded adequately, and this might just be a fleeting occurrence.

But we will not resolve this issue as long as there are figures who persistently exploit the lowest instincts and impulses of a section of society.

The genie is out of the bottle, and only the people, who have always been able to remain sober at the most critical moments, can halt this generation of hatred.

Dear ones, do not allow yourselves to be manipulated and guided, especially when it comes to families and children. Tomorrow, that child could be your own. Reject hatred, negativity, and malice. I believe in your collective wisdom and kindness.”
