The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Anna Naghdalyan, has commented on the information regarding the transitional period following Brexit.
According to the revised agreement and Political Declaration concerning the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union, agreed upon at the European Council on October 17, 2019, the United Kingdom and the European Union have agreed that existing international agreements will continue to be in effect during the transitional period – from the time the agreement on the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union comes into force until the end of December 2020.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that the Armenian Government fully supports this continuity and is prepared to grant reciprocal rights to the United Kingdom during the transitional period, taking into account the necessity to ensure stability and certainty in relations with the United Kingdom until the end of 2020.
