Resignations in the Police Department

On January 25, Acting Police Chief Arman Sargsyan introduced the newly appointed head of the Yerevan Police Department, Colonel Armen Gasparyan, to the management staff of the department and its subdivisions. Arman Sargsyan expressed gratitude to the former head of the Yerevan Police Department, Garik Ghukasian, for his dedicated service.

The Acting Police Chief noted that Armen Gasparyan has held responsible positions in various divisions of the police for many years and was, prior to this appointment, the head of the Tavush regional police department.

Arman Sargsyan also introduced the newly appointed deputy chief of the Yerevan Police Department, Colonel Arthur Khudinyan, who previously served as the commander of the patrol service battalion. New heads of Yerevan’s territorial divisions were also presented.

According to Arman Sargsyan, these individuals will serve as exemplary professionals, demonstrating knowledge and dedication, thus inspiring younger personnel to recognize that the only guarantee of progress is the enhancement of professional skills and a heartfelt approach to service.

The Acting Police Chief expressed hope that the refreshed leadership team of the Yerevan Police Department and its subdivisions would carry out their duties with greater care and efficiency.

Garik Ghukasian, the former head of the Yerevan Police Department, also expressed words of gratitude, thanking the staff for their collective efforts.

Armen Gasparyan, for his part, thanked for the trust placed in him in this responsible position, assuring that together with the personnel, they would fulfill all the duties assigned to them by law.
