Have There Been Reports of Financial Issues Involving Gagik Kutoyan? The Prosecutor's Response
The former director of the National Security Service, Gagik Kutoyan, has not been reported to have any financial issues. This information was provided today, January 25, by the Prosecutor General's Office via their Facebook page.
In particular, the Prosecutor’s Office stated: “In today’s publication by the ‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper regarding the investigation of the criminal case concerning Gagik Kutoyan's death, we inform that no factual data related to financial issues involving G. Kutoyan has been received during the preliminary investigation. Additionally, no inquiry has been forwarded to the British Ambassador during the preliminary investigation. We urge our colleagues at the ‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper to refrain from publishing unverified information.”
It is noteworthy that the body of Gagik Kutoyan was discovered in an apartment on Paruyr Sevak Street in Yerevan, with a gunshot wound. His wife was the one who found him. A criminal case has been initiated under the article regarding incitement to suicide.
