Search of Hrayr Tovmasyan's Apartment Concludes
The search of Hrayr Tovmasyan's apartment has just concluded. His lawyer, Amram Makinyan, stated in a conversation with reporters that nothing was discovered or seized during the search. "They were looking for documents that couldn't have existed, at least in Hrayr Tovmasyan's apartment," he noted.
When asked whether the defense team had finally reviewed the court's decision, Amram Makinyan replied, "As I mentioned before, I was provided with it; I have reviewed it, but it has not been provided to Hrayr Tovmasyan or Mihran Poghosyan. Mr. Tovmasyan requested it, but it was not provided; it was only read partially, and we have urged, insisted, and requested that it be shared. However, familiarization does not mean that the investigator reads the parts they want to."
When asked which article of the Criminal Procedure Code stipulates that this decision should have been shared with them at that moment, the lawyer replied, "There are court decisions according to which any procedural document, which a party has the right to review, can be provided in a copy. We requested to copy it through our means; I personally also requested permission to take photographs, but the investigator denied it."
In response to another question from reporters about whether he had permission to film in the apartment, the lawyer stated, "There is a balance issue between public and private interests; we have exercised Mr. Tovmasyan's right to defense."
