Emergency: The Body of Former NSS Director Georgi Kutoyan Found

Just moments ago, the body of former National Security Service (NSS) Director Georgi Kutoyan was discovered in one of the apartments on Paruyr Sevak Street in Yerevan, with a gunshot wound. This was announced by the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Naira Harutyunyan, on her Facebook page.

“On the assignment of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Hayk Grigoryan, the Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Arthur Melikyan, and the Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Department, V. Mesropyan, are currently heading to the scene. Investigators from the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district’s investigative department are working at the scene, led by the head of the department, H. Gevorgyan,” she stated.

Georgi Kutoyan was 39 years old. It is worth noting that he was appointed to the position of Director of the National Security Service of Armenia by a decree from the President of Armenia on February 12, 2016.
