Search for Russian Citizens in Hiking Group to Continue Tomorrow

On January 24 at 08:28, a call was received at the 911 emergency center reporting that a hiking group consisting of six citizens of the Russian Federation, located 13 km east of the Nshkhark community in Gegharkunik province, needed rescue assistance as one member was feeling unwell. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

A team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene using an armored vehicle.

At 17:30, information was received from the leader of the hiking group, M. Borisenko, indicating that the health condition of the Russian citizen who was feeling unwell had stabilized.

Considering the weather conditions, rugged mountainous terrain, and the risk of avalanches, search operations will continue tomorrow.

A rescue team from the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center has also been involved, set to depart for Martuni in the evening. If necessary, drone assistance is planned to be engaged.
