Major Accident on Ashtarak-Yerevan Road: Casualties Reported
On January 23, at 22:33, the 911 emergency center reported an accident on the Ashtarak-Yerevan highway. This was announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
An operational group from the regional rescue department of the Ministry quickly arrived at the scene. It was found that three vehicles were involved in the collision: a 'VAZ-21099' (driver: Narek N., born in 1993), another 'VAZ-21099' (identity of the driver is not yet known), and a 'Ford' (driver: Martun P., born in 2000) located 5 kilometers into the Ashtarak-Yerevan road. As a result of the collision, the direction from Yerevan to Ashtarak became impassable.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, Narek N. and Martun P. were transported to the Ashtarak Medical Center, where doctors assessed their health condition as stable.
The rescuers disconnected the vehicles from power and moved them on a tow truck; the Yerevan-Ashtarak direction is now passable.
