A Hospital is Being Built in Wuhan for the Treatment of Coronavirus Patients

The new coronavirus continues to spread in China. Authorities have closed dozens of cities to prevent the virus from spreading further. In the city of Wuhan, Hubei province, construction has begun on a new hospital for the treatment of patients infected with the coronavirus. This was reported by China's central television.

Construction began on Friday, with a large number of machines at work. The hospital is expected to be completed by February 2. It will cover an area of approximately 25,000 square kilometers and will be able to accommodate up to a thousand patients at once.

The hospital is being built based on the model of the "Syangtan Hospital" in Beijing, which was constructed in just 7 days during the SARS outbreak in April 2003.
