Video: Armenians Had No Right to Sell Cars to Kazakhs, Delegation Arrives in Armenia
Armenia has made headlines on Kazakhstan’s KTK television due to the large number of vehicles exported from Armenia to Kazakhstan. It appears that Armenians were not allowed to sell cars to Kazakhs, yet the latter were attracted by the low prices of cars available in Armenia.
“A representative of Kazakhstan’s customs states that customs laws in this case are not subject to change, and for the EAEU countries, the customs pricing decision has been made for everyone and everyone is obligated to comply with it. According to Kazakh laws, vehicles from Armenia can only be imported by individuals who are considered citizens of Armenia and reside in Armenia. The report notes that the Kazakhs were unaware of this regulation, made purchases with power of attorney, and managed to find ways to circumvent the law together with Armenians.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan mentions that there are 200,000 foreign-plated vehicles operating in their country, which often come under the scrutiny of law enforcement for various violations. It is noted that a special delegation from Kazakhstan has arrived in Armenia to study the issue,” states the report.
It turns out that the problem exists not only in Kazakhstan but also in Armenia. For more details, see the video.
