The NSS to Investigate the Article About Vanetsyan from 'Haykakan Zhamanak'
The article titled "Do I Have Honor or Not? Mishik, Artur, Arik" published by the newspaper "Haykakan Zhamanak" regarding an attempted coup has been reviewed by the RA Prosecutor General's Office, and the case has been forwarded to the National Security Service (NSS).
The information was confirmed in a conversation with Sputnik Armenia by Aravik Khachatryan, the head of the Public Relations and Media Department of the Prosecutor's Office.
It should be noted that "Haykakan Zhamanak," previously led by Nikol Pashinyan, reported that former NSS director Artur Vanetsyan is trying to carry out a coup d'état by disseminating fake news about the Prime Minister's family and through other means.
Earlier today, it became known that representatives of former NSS director Artur Vanetsyan, Lusine Sahakyan and Aramazd Kiviryans, demanded that "Haykakan Zhamanak" retract false, defamatory, and absurd information regarding Vanetsyan.
It is also worth mentioning that RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's daughter, Mariam Pashinyan, stated on her Facebook page that she fondly remembers the warm communication with the Vanetsyan family but regrets that the warmth was not reciprocated and that Vanetsyan has organized conspiracies against their family.
Accompanying her post, she shared the article titled "Do I Have Honor or Not? Mishik, Artur, Arik" from "Haykakan Zhamanak," which notably claims that Vanetsyan is also financing the anti-propaganda against the Pashinyan family, particularly against Mariam Pashinyan and Anna Hakobyan.
Vanetsyan immediately responded to the article, labeling the accusations against him as misinformation and stated that this falsehood will not go unanswered.
