Show Courtesy in the Parliament Hall, If There Is a Dispute, Let's Disagree, No Problem: Mikayelyan
I have spoken from this podium once and said, stay within the limits of courtesy. This was announced by Sasun Mikayelyan, a member of the My Step alliance, in the National Assembly.
It should be noted that today’s session of the National Assembly was marked by mutual accusations, insults, and calls to remain within the bounds of politeness. Mikayelyan emphasized that being in the opposition does not mean criticizing the authorities or speaking loudly, insulting each other, or gaining dividends in front of the people.
“Let’s respect each other,” the parliament member said.
Referring to the speech of LHK faction member Ani Samsonyan, who stated that the authorities are lost if they think they can give lessons to the opposition, Mikayelyan responded, “Ms. Samsonyan, I have not been lost in my position. If you speak and mention being lost, name the person, specifically say that I have not been lost under any circumstances, wherever I have been.”
He asked all factions not to turn the National Assembly session into other matters. “This is a session of the National Assembly, let’s speak within this framework, otherwise, if a dispute is needed, we can go and argue, hit each other, no problem. Such things should not happen in this hall, showing the people who is bolder,” he said, and concluded by expressing gratitude in Russian.
