Criminal Charges Filed Against 52-Year-Old Man for Inflicting Serious Harm on a Young Man
The investigation into the criminal case regarding the intentional infliction of serious bodily harm on a 25-year-old young man has concluded at the Lori regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. A 52-year-old man has been charged.
According to the data obtained during the investigation, on November 4, 2019, around 5:00 PM, the resident of Lori, born in 1968, met with a 25-year-old local resident in the village of Pambak, Lori region, to demand clarifications regarding a sound signal given by the vehicle driven by the younger man. During the ensuing argument, the 52-year-old man stabbed the young man with a knife he had on him, causing serious bodily harm endangering his life.
Based on the collected evidence, the resident of Lori, born in 1968, has been charged under the first part of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. A measure of restraint in the form of a signature bond not to leave has been selected for him.
Notification has been given regarding the conclusion of the investigation, and the criminal case has been sent to the prosecutor responsible for overseeing the legality of the investigation with a motion to confirm the indictment and send it to court.
