Only 1 MP Attended Turkey's Parliament Session Out of 600
Only one MP attended the session of the Turkish parliament, reports Ermenihaber. The sole member present was Erkan Baş, the president of the Workers' Party of Turkey, which adheres to socialist ideals. He was nominated and elected from the Istanbul electoral district.
Due to the lack of a quorum, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Levent Gök had to adjourn the session, hoping for the presence of the necessary number of MPs tomorrow.
It is worth noting that the Turkish parliament is unicameral, consisting of 600 parliamentary seats. Parliamentary elections are held once every five years.
