No Suppressor Found on Kutoian's Pistol on the Day of the Incident
On January 17, the day of the incident, no suppressor was found on the Glock 34 pistol belonging to former Director of the National Security Service, Georgi Kutoian. This was stated by Naira Harutyunyan, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee, in response to a question from Hraparak yesterday.
Kutoian's body was discovered in his apartment on Paruyr Sevak Street. According to the Investigative Committee, prior to the incident, he had fired 35 random shots from his pistol at the partition wall between the living room and the kitchen a month earlier, at the end of December. Naira Harutyunyan also mentioned that the preliminary investigation body has no information at this stage regarding the presence or absence of a suppressor on the weapon used by Kutoian in December.
Furthermore, she indicated that the removal of information about Kutoian from Wikipedia would become a subject of investigation within the context of the criminal case. It is worth recalling that a user registered under the name Georgi Kutoian attempted several times, including on January 16, to delete the biography of the former NSS director from the Armenian Wikipedia.
Kutoian's body was discovered on the couch in his living room by his wife. A criminal case has been initiated under the article for inciting suicide. The investigation is ongoing.
