‘Fact’ Newspaper: Pashinyan Dissatisfied with Ambassadors, Surprising Changes Expected

‘Fact’ newspaper reports that serious reorganizations are expected in the Armenian diplomatic corps in the near future. A new wave of recalling Armenian ambassadors is not ruled out.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the work of ambassadors, hinting that some of them are engaged in “sabotage” and fail to resolve almost any issues. The passive participation of ambassadors in investment processes has also provided significant grounds for these complaints.

During a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the end of the year, the Prime Minister hinted that the question of recalling ambassadors is under the government’s “microscope,” and therefore, all possible efforts must be made to represent the importance of the revolution correspondingly.

According to a source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pashinyan is also expected to grant new diplomatic titles soon, which are anticipated to bring serious surprises for the public. Specifically, the newspaper has learned that the title of ambassador with special assignments will be granted to Raffi Hovhannisyan.
