Boys and dear girls, you are here today, gone tomorrow, behave properly. Marukyan
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, has begun imposing unilateral sanctions against opposition MPs. However, when there are MPs within the ruling faction who, in their euphoria, behave insolently, comparing us to horses or calling us 'those who dig through trash,' the Speaker does not impose sanctions on them. This was stated today, January 22, during a brief press conference in the National Assembly by the leader of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction, Edmon Marukyan.
"I have been an MP for 7 years. We have hit the tables, shouted from our seats, intervened, and have not allowed anyone to vote for another, essentially disrupting the session, yet none of those sanctions have been applied to us. I want to call for sobriety—boys and dear girls, don’t lose your heads. You are here today, gone tomorrow. Behave properly. Your trust is not absolute, and it doesn't mean you can lose your sense of proportion," emphasized the LHK leader.
“All of our colleagues—local and international—who support the development of parliamentary powers must be informed that there are people here who have lost their minds. They are like headless horsemen going somewhere, not knowing where. These individuals need to be brought back and seated in their places. The Prime Minister bears the responsibility for all of this and will also feel the political consequences of it,” said Marukyan.
