This Project Reminds Me of a Famous Anecdote: 'I Found the Button, Now What's Left Is the Coat' - Zohrapyan

The National Assembly today, among other projects, approved the government’s proposal concerning the awarding of state prizes, despite the opposition factions voting against it. Prior to the vote, Naira Zohrapyan stated: 'This project reminds me of a famous anecdote: I found the button, now what's left is the coat. We believe that the whole concept of state commissions awarding state prizes needs to be reviewed, as they have served other purposes for years and have depreciated in value. It's not important to us who ultimately awards the prize; it is unacceptable that the minister should unilaterally decide the composition of the commission. At this point, we will vote abstention, and we will make proposals regarding the composition, after which we’ll decide how to vote.'

'Considering that there are gaps and shortcomings, at this point the 'Bright Armenia' faction will vote against, after which we will make proposals,' said Anna Kostanyan, a member of the 'Bright Armenia' faction.
