There is no cause-and-effect relationship between the donors and the city hall: Karapetyan

The spokesperson for the Yerevan City Hall, Hakob Karapetyan, stated on his Facebook page: "As a result of the prosecutor's office study, it has been established that making donations to the Yerevan City Hall does not contain any characteristics of prohibited acts according to the RA Criminal Code. This is essentially what we said from the very first days of the 'Kamazgate' noise, and it is clearly evident, as they say, with the naked eye: there is no cause-and-effect relationship between the donations and the donor companies and the city hall.

The prosecutor's office's announcement is linked in the comments. Now, what will our opponents, who raised the 'Kamaz' uproar or have subsequently benefited from it, do after all this? It is very predictable—they will declare that 'oh, this is your law enforcement system, serving the interests of the political power' and so on. It is clear, isn’t it? First, you present a legally made gift to the city as a crime, then you create a noise around it, then law enforcement agencies initiate checks, and naturally, law enforcement does not find a crime where it was initially clear that there was no crime (and here we are now), after that, you come out and declare that 'oh, this is your law enforcement system.' Meanwhile, the city is steadily addressing the issues at hand. In the end, we have public noise filled with misinformation and manipulations, and a few exploded media bubbles.
