Armenia and the Holy See Share Common Principles, Ambassador

At the Holy See, the Armenian Ambassador to Malta and Portugal, Karen Nazaryan, delivered a welcoming address, which we present below:

“I am the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Holy See, and I consider it my duty to assist you in obtaining necessary information and support. Armenian-Vatican relations have a rich past, grounded in ancient historical and spiritual ties, as well as Christian and humanitarian values. Armenia and the Holy See share common principles that form the foundation of modern international relations, the UN Charter, and other fundamental documents.

As the first country to declare Christianity as its state religion, Armenia sees its unique role in showcasing excellent relations with the Holy See to other states and peoples, thereby contributing to international efforts to establish lasting peace and stability.

It is a great honor for me to represent Armenia also in Malta and Portugal. I consider expanding inter-state partnerships and interpersonal contacts in political, economic, humanitarian, educational, cultural, and other fields through dialogue and cooperation to be our primary task.

You can follow us through this website and the embassy's Facebook page. I hope we will find the information that interests you; otherwise, you can always contact the embassy.”
