Number of Pneumonia Patients from New Type in China Continues to Rise

The number of cases of pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus in China has increased, reaching 217. This was reported by the Xinhua News Agency, citing local authorities.

According to agency data, a total of 224 people have been identified with suspected pneumonia, of which 217 have been confirmed as infected with the coronavirus. In the city of Wuhan, where the outbreak originated, the number of infected stands at 198, with three fatalities reported. Additionally, five people have been infected in the capital city, Beijing.
